Literacy
Joining an English class will help you improve your reading, writing and communication skills
We offer a variety of classes
We offer general English classes to help you to improve your spelling and reading skills; learn how to fill in forms and write letters and much, much more. You can take a nationally recognised qualification.
You can improve your English skills by doing other things such as Art, Cookery, Pottery, Singing and using computers. There is also a course for handwriting and one to produce a monthly newsletter.
Levels of English
There are classes at different levels from Pre-Entry (for beginners in reading, writing and communication) to Level 2 (equivalent to GCSE).
Where are our classes held?
Most classes are held at the Adult College, others in venues in Lancaster, Garstang and Fleetwood. If there is a need for a class we can set one up in the North Lancashire area, including workplaces.
How to get a place on a course
Before joining a class you need an interview with a Literacy tutor to find out your level, your needs and to place you in the best class for you.
Costs
Classes are FREE.
Please note we do not offer full time courses.
