Get involved in running the college. Your opinions and suggestions are welcome. There are various ways you can let us know how we are doing.
- Comments, Compliments and Complaints
- If you can think of any improvements, would like to congratulate the college or have a complaint, then please use the Comments, Compliments and Complaints slips on available on every level of the building plus Harpers Mill and the Heritage Centre. We will treat your comments seriously and confidentially and reply within 5 working days.
- Tell Us Days
- From time to time “Tell Us Days” will be held throughout the college. “Tell Us Days” enable you to let us know what you think about the services the college offers Students are asked to complete a simple tick box questionnaire and for any suggestions or comments. Results of all Tell Us Days, Comments, Compliments and Complaints and Course Questionnaires are displayed every term on the Notice boards on levels 2 and 3.
There are two formal groups who meet to discuss various aspects of college and you can become a member.
- Governors
- Advise on policy, curriculum and financial issues. Two students are elected annually during the first term (September/October) to take a student voice to the termly Governors meetings.
- The College Advisory Group (CAG)
- Advise on matters affecting teaching and learning in the college. There are elections for student representatives on this group early in the first term (September/October).
Information and nomination forms for the Governors and The College Advisory Group will be given to you via your tutor and notices placed on the College News notice boards or enquire at reception.
- Focus Groups
- At various times throughout the year we will be asking for students to participate in Focus Groups. A Focus Group is a gathering of a number of people to discuss and give their opinion on specific topics, e.g. Marketing.
- Making Contact
- If you would like to contact a member of the Governors or the College Advisory Group please leave a message at Reception and we will gladly pass it on.
