Learning Outcomes
Gaining an NVQ Teaching Assistants means you meet the national occupational standards for Level 2 or Level 3.
Level 2
When you have achieved this qualification you will have demonstrated competence in:
- Good practice in the workplace
- Helping with classroom resources and records
- Involvement with the care and support of pupils
- Support for learning activities
- Effective support for your colleagues
- A good understanding of literacy and numeracy and provide support in the classroom
Level 3
When you have achieved this qualification you will have demonstrated competence in:
- Good practice in the workplace
- Contributing to the management of pupil behaviour
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with individual pupils
- and groups
- Supporting pupils during learning activities
- Reviewing and developing own professional practice.
It is advisable to complete this qualification within a 12 month period.
