How to Enrol

It's never too late to learn.

  1. Telephone Enrolment Line (01524) 581269
    • Simply call the telephone enrolment line and complete an enrolment form with one of our members of staff. We accept major credit /debit cards: Access, Visa, Maestro, Delta and Solo. Please note that some courses require an interview.
  2. Enrol in person at college
    • Come into The Adult College and complete an enrolment form within our Advice & Information / Reception Area. You can pay by major credit/debit cards, cheque and cash.
  3. What to bring to Enrolment
    • If you are in receipt of benefits please bring evidence of your eligibility (ie benefit information).
    • Your payment either cash, cheque or debit/credit card (all cheques are to be made payable to Lancashire County Council).

Cost of your course:

All learners including those in receipt of state benefits, pay a non-refundable minimum fee of £5 per course.

There are a small number of courses that are exempt from the £5 fee - call (01524) 60141 for more details.

If you do not receive Income Support, Job Seekers Allowance or Housing/Council Tax Benefit, you will pay the full cost of the course as listed. You can pay by two instalments if the course fees total over £80.

Please be aware that Incapacity and Severe Disablement Allowance are no longer accepted benefits.

There is a limited Financial Assistance Fund which is available to those who meet certain criteria.

Monday to Thursday 9:00am – 7:30pm and Friday 9.00am - 4.00pm

Refunds:

For refund of fees the application must be made before the class starts.

That is:

  • 10 days or more before the start of the class to receive a full refund.
  • If less than 10 days before the start of the class the applicant will have to show that there are strong health or personal reasons which make it impossible to start the course.
  • The £5 minimum fee is non-returnable.
