The Adult College is working to ensure equality and the elimination of discrimination within its community, whilst promoting and valuing diversity.
Welcome to the Equality and Diversity web pages. The Adult College focuses on ensuring equality and diversity in all its teaching and learning to ensure high quality delivery. The college has a framework of policies and procedures in place to ensure a safe and positive working environment. Diversity is celebrated through the curriculum, events, displays and information.
The Adult College tries to meet the needs of the local community. The College asks for information about gender, ethnicity, and age on the enrolment form. This influences the courses that are put on, where they happen i.e. neighbourhood learning centre, school and the organisations and partnerships we work with. It is a important goal of the college to activley promote Disability Equality and to help us to achieve this we would be gratefull for feedback from learners and members of the community who are familiar with our services.
