OCNW - ACCESS TO HIGHER EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
Have you missed out on education?
Would you like a new career direction?
Would going to university help to achieve your goals?
Access courses are specifically designed for learners who;
- Want a second chance at education
- Who have had a gap in their education due to other commitments
- Would like to return to education and to eventually progress onto University
OCNW Access courses have been designed in conjunction with Higher Education Institutions and are fully approved by the QAA as evidence that students are ready to move on to study at degree level.
If you are looking for a way back into study then an Access course could be just what you are looking for.
The Access to HE course is an alternative to traditional GCSE and A-Levels. Learners will have to complete 3 Units at Level 2 and 2 units at Level 3 to receive a full Access t HE certificate with which they can gain entrance to University. There are also a range of GCSE equivalent qualifications which individual Universities and courses may require as a condition of entry. Students are recommended to check entry requirements with individual Universities before commencing and particular Pathway.
OCNW Level 2 STAGE As are an equivalent level to GCSE but shorter in length. Assessment is by portfolio and written assessment
OCNW Level 3 Stage Bs are equivalent to A2s (previously A levels). Assessment is by written assignments, projects and end of year exams.
I am hoping to use my Drug Awareness Access course in conjunction with other courses to improve my job prospects.
