Creative Writing and Critique Skills for Writers – Level 2 Stage A
Develop both your writing and the skills needed to constructively criticise your own and others work. Become aware of the techniques used to create effects in various genres and learn how to apply them in your own writing. Assessment is by coursework and portfolio.

Qualification Descriptions

OCNW Level 1/START
courses are short introductory and specialist courses of up to 10 weeks duration.
OCNW Level 2 Stage As
are an equivalent level to GCSEs but are shorter in length. Assessment is by portfolio and written assessment.
OCNW Level 3 Stage Bs
are an equivalent to A2s (previously A Levels). Assessment is by written assignments, projects and end of year exams. Level 3 courses are intensive and demanding in terms of time, commitment and skills.
Study Skills
are an integral part of the access to HE programme. Classes and workshops are held throughout the year to help you with reading for your course, writing essays and preparing for tests and exams.
